We believe your non-profit’s visibility should be amplifying your impact, not limiting it. You already have a hard-working dedicated team wearing multiple hats, but we’re here to partner with you to take this off your hands. Together we take the key information about your organization and make it impossible to overlook.

We’ve seen what happens when your digital presence starts finally reflecting the way your organization deserves. More impact, more clarity and more confidence. Your mission stands out at the forefront and weaves into every representation you put out into the world.

Why choose Inkling Design for your non-profit

  • We know your world

After working with multiple non-profit organizations we know what’s involved. We know about the multiple stakeholders, the mission-driven communication, and communicating that impact to a variety of audiences including donors, volunteers and your community.

  • We’re your partners

We lead the process but it remains a partnership. Your collaboration is not only invited, it’s encouraged (but without you having to add project manager to your to-do list).

  • Hands on leadership

We are a small but mighty team. Our co-founders are always present as the leads on every project. Their 20+ years of experience means you get reliable, senior-level support from first call to final launch and beyond.

What it’s like to work with us

She really listened to what I wanted to communicate and used her knowledge of design methods and platforms to get my messages across.

I appreciated Andrea’s flexibility and creativity overall. Apart from loving the final product that she created, the process of working with her was very laid-back and fun! She really listened to what I wanted to communicate and used her knowledge of design methods and platforms to get my messages across to the audience. I’m looking forward to working with her again in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work with non-profit organizations outside of Ontario?

Absolutely. We’re based across Guelph, Toronto, and Collingwood, but we work with non-profits across Canada and beyond. Wherever you are, if it feels like a good fit we’d love to have a conversation.

What should I look for in a non-profit web designer?

Look for someone who understands that your website isn’t a marketing tool. It’s a mission-led communication asset. You need a team that knows the right questions to ask (and that’s us).

How do I brief a web designer if I’ve never done this before?

You don’t need to have it all figured out before we start the conversation, that’s what we’re here for. We’ve worked with plenty of organizations who come to us with a general sense of “this isn’t working”, but through our process we’re able to draw out what’s really needed by asking the right questions.

How long does a non-profit website build take?

For a Custom WordPress Website, you’re typically looking at 8-12 weeks from start to finish. The timeline varies depending on a number of things such as the scope of the project, delivery of content and how many stakeholders are involved in the approval process. That being said, if a quicker turnaround time is needed we can chat about options that fit your timeline in your Free Discovery Call.

Do you offer non-profit pricing or discounted rates?

We recognize that non-profit organizations operate under different financial realities than a for-profit business, and we take that seriously when scoping your project. We offer a reduced rate for non-profit organizations, and we’re always happy to have an honest conversation about your budget during our discovery call. Our goal is always to find the right solution for you and accomplish your goals within your budget.

How do we make sure the website is easy to update ourselves?

Every Custom WordPress Website we deliver includes a live recorded training call that is recorded for future reference and custom user guide written specifically for your site. And if you’d rather hand off ongoing maintenance entirely, we offer that as well.

What's included in non-profit brand guidelines?

Brand guidelines are the rulebook that keeps your organization looking and sounding like itself, no matter who’s creating the materials. You’ll get your complete colour palette, typography system, image direction, iconography, and clear guidance on how every element works together across print and digital. It’s the foundation that makes every piece of communication that comes after it easier and more consistent.

Do you design reports for nonprofits?

Reports are a big part of what you do. Let us handle the layout, visual hierarchy and design. If print is part of the plan, we can also coordinate directly with your printer so you don’t have to. Bring it to your discovery call and we’ll help you figure out the right fit.
