1. Blog content

Having a blog that you update regularly is the best way to add fresh content to your website.

Think about the product or service that you want to draw attention to and think about a problem your audience has that this product or service could solve. Now write about it! If you are posting content just for the sake of posting, chances are it won’t connect with people and won’t return the results you are hoping for.

If writing blog posts sounds like a nightmare it may be time to hire a copywriter to write posts for you. A good copywriter will do all the research needed so that the content is written in your voice and speaks to your target audience effectively. They can also ensure that it provides value to your audience and to search engines. Blogs are a great way to boost your SEO if you are doing it properly.

2. Blog repurposing

If you have a blog with a year or more of content you may have an easier time creating new content than you think. Look through your older posts and make a note of any that are relevant to your current goals and audience pain points. Then repurpose the content!

Do you have a new spin on the old content? Newer thoughts based on things that have happened in your life or industry since the original post?

Use the old content as a starting point for something timely and effective – for less effort than writing a post from scratch.

3. New project/product/client feature

People love to see something new – whether it is a featured client that they can relate to, a new project that shows a transformation, or a product that fits into their life.

A feature can be as simple as you would like. A strong headline, short blurb, and a photo (or a small gallery if your business is very visual) is all it takes to showcase something new.

4. Case study

To take featured content one step further you could include a new case study on your website.

What problems have you solved for clients recently that showcase your magic and could help even more people? Dig deeper than a simple feature and highlight the problem the client was having and the transformation that happened through your solution.

People connect to stories, so try to weave in some of the emotions that were involved in the transformation.

Include visuals, a testimonial from the client, and some facts or stats about the outcome to help round out your case study and reinforce the transformation.

5. Content as video

If you have any written content that performed well, why not repurpose it as a video? You can reach a different audience with your content, and if you post it on YouTube you will extend your reach beyond your own website too.

6. Testimonials

If all the other ideas sound too overwhelming, the easiest way to add new content to your website is through client testimonials.

You probably have lots of raving fans – if they haven’t provided a testimonial (whether it is on Google, LinkedIn, or personally in an email) now is a great time to ask.

Bonus

Once you have any of these items added to your website you can repurpose them to social media too to extend your reach even further.
