Read time: 2 minutes

You only have a few seconds to capture someone’s attention when they arrive at your website. Don’t make your dream client scroll and click their way to finding out who you are and how you can serve them.

Use this simple formula as a starting point to craft a statement that immediately connects with your dream client and removes the guesswork.

the brand statement formula

Here is what you need to nail down:

  1. Who you are
    Keep it simple and concise.
    +
  2. Who you help
You want to zero in on your exact dream client – you can’t connect with them if you can’t pinpoint exactly who they are.
    +
  3. How you can help them
This ties it all together –you know who they are AND you know their pain point or biggest challenge AND you know how to fix it – with clarity and ease.
    = Your brand statement!

Make sure your brand statement is front and center on your website, in your marketing materials and when you are talking in real life to potential dream clients.

If creating a brand statement sounds intimidating remember that it can always evolve and change over time. Having a brand statement, even if it is not perfect, is better than leaving potential clients guessing.
